Project Description
The Decarbonized Distribution Network System (DDNS) project aims to revolutionize the current distribution network system by implementing a shared infrastructure hub that decarbonizes the transportation methods required for information transfer. By eliminating dependence on road infrastructure and introducing this innovative hub, DDNS effectively addresses carbon emissions and tackles the prevalent “Last Mile” issue. Leveraging the soon-to-be-decommissioned US Postal Service Branch network, the hub will be strategically utilized to optimize efficiency.

Initially, the pilot system will be implemented in Manhattan, where it will demonstrate its adaptability to diverse demands, making it an ideal solution for sustainable and efficient logistics in urban settings. With the potential to drastically transform distribution networks, DDNS promises to significantly reduce carbon emissions, paving the way for a more sustainable future. This project represents an exciting opportunity to revolutionize the industry and serve as a blueprint for other regions seeking innovative approaches to improve sustainability in their distribution networks.
