Project Description
The landscape design project for Butlers Bridge Park in Henry County, GA, centers around a scenic pedestrian nature trail that immerses visitors in the beauty of a wooded landscape. The trail meanders through dense forests and crosses streams via thoughtfully designed pathways and bridges, providing an intimate experience with nature. At the entrance, a parking area and restrooms offer convenience, while overlooks throughout the trail offer sweeping views of the river. A dedicated kayak launch area, with steps down to the water’s edge, creates a peaceful space for resting and appreciating the natural surroundings.

Pavilions and additional restrooms are strategically placed along the trail for visitor comfort. The project’s scope included comprehensive responsibility for design development, from schematic design to construction documents. Close coordination with environmental consultants was crucial in supporting stream restoration efforts, ensuring that the design bolstered ecological sustainability and preserved the site’s natural richness. Overseeing permit drawings and supervising on-site work were also key roles, ensuring the project was executed with precision and respect for the environment.
