Project Description

The Toilet Manifesto by Mad(e) in Mumbai is a transformative project and public exhibition aimed at revolutionizing public sanitation infrastructure. Through architectural drawings and models, the exhibition presents ten innovative design solutions that elevate public toilets to Sensitive Public Buildings, fostering socially and culturally sustainable environments. The exhibition explores the historical evolution of toilets, sanitation policies, experimental technologies, and showcases global case studies. It emphasizes inclusivity and features accessible design and signage.

The highlight of the exhibition is the unveiling of ten visionary prototypes for toilets, pushing the boundaries of architectural concepts. The project concludes with a forward-thinking Manifesto for the future. The Toilet Manifesto inspires a paradigm shift, turning public toilets into integral elements of our cultural and social fabric, and offering a visionary roadmap for the improvement of public sanitation.
